Welcome to Tutorlii. By using our website and services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Agreement. Please read them carefully before accessing or using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using Tutorlii’s services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Agreement, whether or not you become a registered user of the services. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Tutorlii provides a platform that facilitates the booking and scheduling of tutoring sessions, processes payments, and matches students with highly qualified tutors. Tutorlii acts as an intermediary between students and tutors and does not provide tutoring services directly.

3. User Responsibilities

Users of Tutorlii agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering and updating their accounts.
  • Use the platform solely for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws, including the Education Act and Consumer Protection Act of Ontario.
  • Engage with tutors solely through Tutorlii and not request or offer to handle payments outside of the platform.
  • Respect the rights and privacy of others and not engage in any conduct that is harmful, deceptive, or illegal.

4. Payment and Booking

Users are required to pay for tutoring services through the Tutorlii platform. Payments are processed securely and must be made prior to the scheduling of sessions. By booking a session, you agree to the fees associated with that session as outlined on our website.

Tutorlii is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the payment process. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that payment information is accurate and up-to-date.

4.1 Payment Protocol

All interactions, scheduling, and payments must be conducted exclusively through the Tutorlii platform. Clients are strictly prohibited from arranging sessions, discussing fees, or making payments directly to a Tutorlii tutor outside of the platform. Violating this policy may result in immediate termination without refund. This ensures transparency, security, and legal compliance.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Individual Sessions: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the session’s start time for a full refund.
  • Package Sessions: Sessions in a package may be rescheduled with at least 24 business hours’ notice but are not eligible for refunds.

Tutorlii reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions at its discretion. Users will be given an opportunity to reschedule without penalty.

6. Tutor Matching Process

Tutorlii matches students with highly qualified tutors who are Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT) and have undergone vulnerable sector checks. While every effort is made to ensure a good match, we do not guarantee tutor suitability or availability.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Tutorlii platform is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Users may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content without express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability: Damages

Tutorlii and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from the use of our services. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content.

9. Limitation of Liability: Outcomes

While we strive for successful matches and educational outcomes, Tutorlii does not guarantee results. We are not responsible for dissatisfaction with tutoring services or educational progress.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Disputes must be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

11. Conflict of Interest

Students and families agree not to solicit services from a Tutorlii tutor employed at the student’s home school. Violations will result in immediate termination.

If registering a TDSB student, you confirm that you independently initiated contact with Tutorlii.

12. Modifications to Terms

Tutorlii may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Termination

Tutorlii reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to services for any violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

Tutorlii complies with PIPEDA and other applicable privacy laws. We protect your personal information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Dispute Resolution

Disputes should first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to arbitration under the Arbitration Act of Ontario.

Tutorlii’s founders, officers, directors, agents, successors, and employees are not personally liable for any tutor misconduct or regulatory breaches.
